I got a call from my wife’s sister in [redacted]. My wife took the kids down there for the week-end. I reiterated that I was not allowed to speak with my wife.

Here’s what I learned from my sister in law:

1) the 5 yr old, not the injured 8 yr old, called 911

2) not sure the door-knob was the blunt instrument, son may have fallen backward and hit his head on the tile sink as I forced open the bathroom door (I don’t write this in any effort to exonerate my unacceptable behavior, but just to convey what I’ve been told)

3) cops tried to get my kids to say I smacked son with door-knob 

4) cops asking kids if I was driving drunk Sunday or Saturday (I wasn’t)

I’m staying at the [redacted]

I’m here through the 14th, and hoping the judge will lift or loosen the restraining order on the 15th, as you have suggested.

My face is looking normal, including the scratched eye, which has recovered with the eyedrops prescribed by the eye Dr.
